It has an expanding network of UK sites with over 150 employees processing over 40,000 vehicles a year.

We are looking for an experienced Forklift Driver/Yard Worker based in Teesside. Reporting to the Site Manager, they will be part of a busy team that run the daily site salvage operation process. They will be responsible for: loading and unloading lorries; Moving vehicles between locations and other various forklift duties; Completing inspection reports by recording the damage to vehicles as they arrive at the site; Providing excellent customer service and support to both clients and suppliers with any issues or concerns in an effective manner; and to clean vehicles and the site.

Suitable candidates must have a full driving licence, previous experience using a forklift truck and have a valid Counterbalance or Reach forklift license; Experience of working outside in all weathers and the ability to accurately record the damage of vehicles, in writing then transfer the information onto our computer system in a clear and concise manner.

They should also be able to work as part of a team, have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Be adaptable and have good attention to detail and basic IT skills. A driving license, previous experience working in a salvage site and knowledge and/or an interest in motor vehicles would also be desirable.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours a week, 7.30am – 4.30pm or 8.30am – 5.30pm (with a 30 minute lunch break). Occasional weekend work may be required and will be paid at time and a half.

About the role:

As Senior Area Engineer you will provide effective and safe engineering designs for large and complex excavations, Formwork, Falsework and refurbishment projects. You will mentor and develop the team and often deputise in the managers’ absence.

Day to day you will:

  • Prepare complex designs for temporary works schemes for excavations, Formwork, Falsework and building refurbishment projects
  • Regularly checking work before final submission to the client
  • Ongoing mentoring and development of the team
  • Build solid relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Regularly attend client meetings and carry out site visits
  • Manage work to meet often demanding deadlines
  • Liaise regularly with the sales function to finalise design brief details to ensure the clients’ requirements are accurately captured and delivered
  • Utilise AutoCAD to produce high quality drawings
  • Comply, monitor and improve (where necessary) existing QA Procedures
  • Comply with Management H&S documents
  • Produce safe designs, schemes, method statements and risk assessments in accordance with CDM Regulations 2007
  • Ensure provision and maintenance of high level of service in all areas.

As Project Engineer, you will have full responsibility for providing customers with effective, safe structural support in all areas in temporary works including major groundworks projects, facade retention, propping, hydraulics and bridging schemes. You will also be required to negotiate profitable contracts, subsequently design, and manage the supply and safe erection of those schemes.  Day to day you will:

  • Efficiently dealing with customers enquiries
  • Conceptualising, designing and drawing safe, cost effective solutions
  • Producing accurate quotations, to meet client’s deadline
  • Producing finalised scheme costs to suit client’s brief
  • Negotiating with clients to maximise revenue
  • Controlling contract costs and keeping records of variations
  • Finalising clients’ requirements
  • Designing suitable schemes to appropriate Design Codes
  • Producing suitable general arrangement, detail, special fabrication and hydraulic layout drawings
  • Carrying out Design Risk Assessments
  • Contributing to the production of Technical Approval Documents.

  • Educated to degree level in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
  • 5 years post graduate experience in the construction industry
  • On route to professional review with the ICE or ISturctE

Overall Purpose:

 

The role of Project Planner is to assist the Construction Manager in the efficiencies of managing construction projects through to completion. A key aspect of the role is the effective programming and allocation of resource for sites, ensuring safe and efficient running of projects UK wide.

Duties for the role include:

  • Develop project logistic plans
  • Programming & planning projects using Project Management software such as Primavera or Microsoft Project.
  • Produce tender programmes, logistics plans & programmes for tender submission
  • Project pricing and costing using Insphire to assess allocation against budget
  • Management of site documentation as required by each project.
  • Undergo site assessments and provide detailed information/reports to the engineering / estimating team
  • Occasional Management of Subcontract teams and directly employed labour on site
  • Preparation of SSOW, Lift Plans and associated drawings including updates and amendments
  • Ensure that the highest levels of Health & Safety standards are maintained on sites at all times
  • Liaison with the Commercial Department with regards to site documentation and resource allocation.
  • Manage training facility for construction staff to include the management, maintenance and updating of the database.
  • Represent the company at client meetings on both prospective and existing contracts.

About you:

For the role of Project Planner, we are specifically looking for an experienced people manager with a strong understanding of temporary works process and knowledge of project planning.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • CITB trained Safety Site Manager or equivalent
  • I.O.S.H trained
  • Computer Literate with a good knowledge of spreadsheets
  • CSCS cardholder
  • Appointed Person for Safe Use of Cranes BS7121
