Role/Duties:

 

We are looking to recruit an experienced individual to join our workshop team. You should have a broad range of time-served experience in the plant and tool hire industry and be capable of working as part of a team. A good working knowledge of petrol, diesel, hydraulic and electrical systems would be essential to any individual applying for this position. You will be required to carry out maintenance and repairs on site, from time to time, as part of your duties. You will be responsible for:

 

  • Maintenance, repair and statutory compliance of all Plant Powered Access Equipment within our range
  • Capture and Identify machine damage and ensure clear lines of communication are maintained with both Line Manager and customer.
  • Ensure the workplace and working environment is kept to a high standard and in-line with company procedures and processes
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive service and maintenance records

 

Ideal Candidate:

 

To be considered for this role, we're looking for someone who is:

 

  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Flexible, keen to embrace new training opportunities, which may on occasion require          staying away for training/upskilling
  • Customer focused 
  • Plant trained (minimum NVQ level 2)
  • Electrical, hydraulic and diesel fault-finding experience along with an understanding of Powered Access.

Repairs Supervisor Bristol

Post Title: Repairs Supervisor

Salary: £27k - £30k Depending on Experience

Location: Bristol

 

Overall Purpose:

 

We require a commercially focused Repairs Supervisor, with excellent leadership and communication skills to work in conjunction with the Customer Support Manager and the Special Projects and Repairs Manager.

The Repairs Supervisor will oversee the operational delivery of all aspects of the Regional Office, ensuring that customer service excellence is achieved through a pro-active customer interface.

They will provide first line supervision to engineers and staff ensuring maintenance visits and breakdown attendances are delivered on time and to budget, whilst ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation and the company’s processes and procedures.

Candidates must possess at least 5 years’ experience of leading a team, technical skills and customer relationship management. Previous lift industry experience is preferred but not essential.

A full driving license and PC literacy is also required.

  • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance and other Service activities on our range of Products, including our own and competitors. This requires you to follow logical and systematic steps to diagnose any potential or existing faults. 
  • Recommend improvements to the customer and provide quotations on prospective work such as; replacement of wear and tear parts to avoid breakdowns between service visits; upgrade's to improve functionality and the benefits of a 24/7 service agreement with the Company. 
  • Able to do unplanned, proactive visits to known customers to check satisfaction and promote our capabilities and services. 
  • Close cooperation with the sales force so that potential sales leads outside of your scope can be captured and managed internally. 
  • To complete e-Learning and module training to enhance your knowledge of Company products. You also keep up to date with the Entrance Systems market and our Competitors. 
  • Responsible to maintain the Company vehicle, its stock and tools in good working order. 
  • Responsible for accurate time sheet reporting, detailing job numbers, travel time, label equipment and complete door assignments.

  • You are a representative of our organisation so must act in a courteous and professional manner at all times. 
  • Responsible, reliable, punctual and trustworthy. 
  • Results orientated and you show initiative to problem solve and come up with new ways of working.
