Post Title: Yard Operative / Forklift Operator

Forklift Driver/Yard Worker - Canvey Island, Essex
We are a forward thinking and progressive company which has been serving the industry for over 50 years. It provides the best and most effective vehicle salvage collection and disposal service for UK based: insurance companies, fleet hire and accident management companies. It has an expanding network of UK sites with over 150 employees processing over 40,000 vehicles a year.
We are looking for an experienced Forklift Driver/Yard Worker based at their Canvey Island site in Essex. Reporting to the Site Manager, they will be part of a busy team that run the daily site salvage operation process. They will be responsible for: loading and unloading lorries; Moving vehicles between locations and other various forklift duties; Completing inspection reports by recording the damage to vehicles as they arrive at the site; Providing excellent customer service and support to both clients and suppliers with any issues or concerns in an effective manner; and to clean vehicles and the site.
Suitable candidates must have a full driving licence, previous experience using a forklift truck and have a valid Counterbalance or Reach forklift license; Experience of working outside in all weathers and the ability to accurately record the damage of vehicles, in writing then transfer the information onto our computer system in a clear and concise manner.
They should also be able to work as part of a team, have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Be adaptable and have good attention to detail and basic IT skills. A driving license, previous experience working in a salvage site and knowledge and/or an interest in motor vehicles would also be desirable.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours a week, 7.30am – 4.30pm or 8.30am – 5.30pm (with a 30 minute lunch break). Occasional weekend work may be required and will be paid at time and a half.

Post Title: HGV Class 1 Driver
Salary: £27k - £32k
We are currently looking for full-time permanent HGV Drivers.
Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for:
Requirements for the role: -
It is highly desirable but not essential that you have experience in vehicle recovery/ transporter work.
Drivers will be working 5 days a week, Monday-Friday (with 4 nights out per week). Uniforms are provided and you will be working with a modern transport fleet.
Extensive training is also provided to ensure you meet our standards.
Salary: Basic - £21,460 - £23,460 pa (depending on location) + bonuses - £30 per night out Bonus £3 per Vehicle for the first 15 then £10 for anything there after (OTE £27K - £32K)
