Overall Purpose:

 

Role summary:

This is an opportunity for a professional, engaged and open minded individual to join a team of dedicated technicians offering a complete range of services to our customers.

 

Responsibilities and challenges:

 

  • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance and other Service activities on our range of Products, including our own and competitors. This requires you to follow logical and systematic steps to diagnose any potential or existing faults.
  • Recommend improvements to the customer and provide quotations on prospective work such as; replacement of wear and tear parts to avoid breakdowns between service visits; upgrade’s to improve functionality and the benefits of a 24/7 service agreement with the Company.
  • Able to do unplanned, proactive visits to known customers to check satisfaction and promote our capabilities and services.
  • Close cooperation with the sales force so that potential sales leads outside of your scope can be captured and managed internally.
  • To complete e-Learning and module training to enhance your knowledge of Company products. You also keep up to date with the Entrance Systems market and our Competitors.
  • Responsible to maintain the Company vehicle, its stock and tools in good working order.
  • Responsible for accurate time sheet reporting, detailing job numbers, travel time, label equipment and complete door assignments.

 

Background and personal qualities:

  • You are a company representative so act in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
  • Responsible, reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
  • Results orientated and you show initiative to problem solve and come up with new ways of working.
  • Eager to learn and develop new skills both technical and sales related.
  • Education in electrical, mechanical or hydraulic training is preferred however a full Company induction and training will be provided.
  • Clean driving license, other operating licenses are also of benefit.
  • Able to work on your own, managing your time and workload accordingly.
  • Develops good working relationships with other co-workers and customers.

 

Desirable Skills:

  • Electrical and mechanical qualification ideally within the industrial door and docking systems industry
  • Good IT skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently within a team and individually
  • Industry experience

We have a requirement for an experienced Loading Systems Service Manager with commercial focus and excellent managerial skills to lead our Loading Systems South Operations Department from the Redditch region.

The candidate will be responsible for customer satisfaction, achieving budgets and managing a team of staff and engineers covering the Midlands/Southern area of the UK.

Candidates must have a background in management in the Engineering Service sector, along with an Engineering and/or Electrical/Mechanical qualification.

Previous experience of leading a team and customer relationship management within a service sector environment is essential.

A full driving Licence and PC Literacy is also essential.

Overall Purpose:

 

To provide efficient and cost effective repairs to fleet of Vehicles ensuring that the equipment is maintained to a first class standard and in line with company policy

 

Key Tasks

  • Carry out inspections and repairs to Manufactures standards  and in line with Company procedures on IVECO HGVs
  • Perform preventative and proactive maintenance in line with manufacturers and company policy ensuring equipment is compliant with all aspects of safety and legal legislation in a cost effective manner.
  • Demonstrate good diagnosis skills
  • Produce good productivity levels in line with Autodata/Manufacture  repair times
  • Comply with Depot  specific health and safety rules and regulations and ensure the correct PPE is worn/used throughout and report any failings through the reporting procedure
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly, legible and handed in on time.
  • Conduct themselves in a professional manner.
  • Highlight any shortfalls or issues relating to safety or maintenance immediately to the appropriate manager.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area and ensure all tooling and specialist equipment is checked, tested and compliant in line with company policy.
  • Maintain sufficient security measures to prevent theft of company/personal property during and after normal working hours.

 

Essential Key skills

  • Hold recognised time served training certification within the automotive industry or similar engineering back ground (with sound electrical bias) and demonstrate minimum of 2 years working in the industry after apprenticeship/training completion.
  • Hold a valid UK Driving license
  • NVQ Level 3 Required
  • Have a good understanding of transport & HSE legislation.
  • A good standard of both written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and also under your own initiative when required.
  • Be a well organised individual with excellent time management.
