Overall Purpose:

Currently recruiting for an Engineering Technician (Civil Engineering). We have 440 colleagues working across 18 locations throughout the UK. We hire bridging and non-mechanical construction equipment and services, meaning we get to work on some of the most important engineering, construction, manufacturing and infrastructure projects in the country.

We have colleagues from all kinds of disciplines working here: from engineers to customer services; yard operatives to HGV drivers – and, of course, the vast array of support functions you’d expect from a business that’s here to meet the demands of the construction industry.

We are looking for a logical, influencing and knowledgeable Engineering Technician to join our North West Team.

About the role:

The role of Engineering Technician is to assist the Project Engineers and Engineering Manager to offer customers effective and safe support with products offered through  our Total Solutions Team.

Daily duties are varied and include the following:

  • Efficiently dealing with customers’ enquiries, contributing to the design and drawing of suitable schemes using our Hire equipment
  • Producing accurate kit lists, to meet client’s deadlines
  • Finalising clients’ requirements, contributing to the timely production suitable schemes using our Hire equipment
  • Producing suitable general arrangement, & detail drawings
  • Creating accurate picking lists for each scheme pricing, effectively communicating with Operations and Sales
  • Producing accurate fabrication drawings for special parts
  • Efficient use of Revit and AutoCAD to produce high quality drawings
  • Complying, monitoring and improving QA Procedures
  • Complying with Management H&S documents. Contributing to safe designs, schemes, method statements and risk assessments in accordance with CDM Regulations 2015
  • Professionally communicating with clients via email, letter and phone

About you:

We want to talk to people with Revit and AutoCAD experience, a minimum of 5 GCSE’s including Science and Maths.

Forklift Driver/Yard Worker - Canvey Island, Essex

 

We are a forward thinking and progressive company which has been serving the industry for over 50 years. It provides the best and most effective vehicle salvage collection and disposal service for UK based: insurance companies, fleet hire and accident management companies. It has an expanding network of UK sites with over 150 employees processing over 40,000 vehicles a year.

 

We are looking for an experienced Forklift Driver/Yard Worker based at their Canvey Island site in Essex. Reporting to the Site Manager, they will be part of a busy team that run the daily site salvage operation process. They will be responsible for: loading and unloading lorries; Moving vehicles between locations and other various forklift duties; Completing inspection reports by recording the damage to vehicles as they arrive at the site; Providing excellent customer service and support to both clients and suppliers with any issues or concerns in an effective manner; and to clean vehicles and the site.

 

Suitable candidates must have a full driving licence, previous experience using a forklift truck and have a valid Counterbalance or Reach forklift license; Experience of working outside in all weathers and the ability to accurately record the damage of vehicles, in writing then transfer the information onto our computer system in a clear and concise manner.

 

They should also be able to work as part of a team, have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Be adaptable and have good attention to detail and basic IT skills. A driving license, previous experience working in a salvage site and knowledge and/or an interest in motor vehicles would also be desirable.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours a week, 7.30am – 4.30pm or 8.30am – 5.30pm (with a 30 minute lunch break). Occasional weekend work may be required and will be paid at time and a half.

Overall Purpose:

 

We are currently looking for full-time permanent HGV Drivers.

Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Loading and collecting accident damaged and insurance loss vehicles from recovery agents and policy holders and to deliver the vehicles and complete the associated paperwork via a PDA.

Requirements for the role: -

  • Minimum of 2 years HGV driving experience,
  • Valid driver CPC,
  • In good health
  • Good communication and customer service skills,
  • Self motivated,
  • Organised,
  • Resilient,
  • Good attention to detail,
  • Use their initiative.
  • Willing to work up to 4 nights out per week (Between Monday - Friday only)

It is highly desirable but not essential that you have experience in vehicle recovery/ transporter work.

Drivers will be working 5 days a week, Monday-Friday (with 4 nights out per week). Uniforms are provided and you will be working with a modern transport fleet.

Extensive training is also provided to ensure you meet our standards.

Salary: Basic - £21,460 - £23,460 pa (depending on location) + bonuses - £30 per night out Bonus £3 per Vehicle for the first 15 then £10 for anything there after (OTE £27K - £32K)

Overall Purpose:

We require an organised and IT literate Administrator for our business stream, responsible for the day to day administration functions in a busy office environment. You will provide an efficient and seamless administration service.

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Providing a professional and courteous telephone service to internal and external customers
  • To manage the reactive call work stream, schedule new service contracts on the in-house maintenance system
  • To enter customer quotations and quotation follow-up letters on dedicated service management system
  • To capture all office data as required within the general administration remit
  • Process and verify all engineers paperwork Prepare timesheets
  • Constant communications with customers internally and externally via e-mail and other communication methods
  • Daily control of engineers job issue
  • In addition the post-holder will also be required to undertake additional duties as required

With the ability to maintain a professional manner throughout, the successful candidate must be computer literate with excellent organisation skills. You will possess excellent administrative skills and preferably hold an NVQ in Business Administration or equivalent.
