Post Title: HGV/Diesel Fitter

Location: Londonderry

 

 

Overall Purpose:

 

To provide efficient and cost effective repairs to fleet of Vehicles ensuring that the equipment is maintained to a first class standard and in line with company policy

 

Key Tasks

  • Carry out inspections and repairs to Manufactures standards  and in line with Company procedures
  • Perform preventative and proactive maintenance in line with manufacturers and company policy ensuring equipment is compliant with all aspects of safety and legal legislation in a cost effective manner.
  • Demonstrate good diagnosis skills
  • Produce good productivity levels in line with Autodata/Manufacture  repair times
  • Comply with Depot  specific health and safety rules and regulations and ensure the correct PPE is worn/used throughout and report any failings through the reporting procedure
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly, legible and handed in on time.
  • Conduct themselves in a professional manner.
  • Highlight any shortfalls or issues relating to safety or maintenance immediately to the appropriate manager.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area and ensure all tooling and specialist equipment is checked, tested and compliant in line with company policy.
  • Maintain sufficient security measures to prevent theft of company/personal property during and after normal working hours.

 

Essential Key skills

  • Hold recognised time served training certification within the automotive industry or similar engineering back ground (with sound electrical bias) and demonstrate minimum of 2 years working in the industry after apprenticeship/training completion.
  • Hold a valid UK Driving license
  • Have a good understanding of transport & HSE legislation.
  • A good standard of both written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and also under your own initiative when required.
  • Be a well organised individual with excellent time management.
  • Demonstrate a desire for self improvement and enthusiasm to learn new skills including attending training courses both in house and external

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Mechanical Field Service

Engineer to join our team within the Pedestrian Doors Solutions division.

 

Day to day duties include visiting customer sites carrying out planned and preventative maintenance and other service activities on our complete range and third party products.

 

Individuals will be able to follow logical and systematic steps to diagnose existing and potential faults.

 

You will recommend improvements to our customers and provide quotations on

prospective work such as preventative care i.e. replacement of wear and tear parts to avoid breakdowns between service visits, upgrade’s to improve functionality and the benefits of a 24/7 service agreement with the Company.

 

Ideally you will have experience within the service industry and will be able to meet weekly/monthly KPI’s set.

 

Although full training is provided the ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Previous knowledge and experience of working on automatic doors
  • EN16005/BS7036
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Mechanical and/or electrical knowledge
  • CSCS Card

Electronics Field Service Engineer Reading

Post Title: Service Engineer (Electronic/Mechanical) – Reading

Salary: Basic salary £27k with earning potential in excess of £30k

Location: Reading

 

Overall Purpose:

 

Service Engineer – Reading

 

The primary function of this role is to provide preventative and reactive service maintenance to a range of electronic and mechanical fuel dispensing equipment and associated retail forecourt equipment. Working independently as part of a team you will provide the highest standards in customer excellence and operate with defined EHS processes and procedures. The post is based in or around Reading.

 

Position Responsibilities:

 

  • Fault diagnosis, repair and maintenance on a range of mechanical and electronic forecourt equipment including although not exclusively: fuel dispensing pumps; POS; pump controllers; tank gauges; DCDs; tank probes; submerged pump systems and integral PA systems.
  • Completion of planned preventative maintenance programs
  • Assessment and reporting of accidental damage for costing purposes
  • Commissioning of new and refurbished sites
  • Inventory management of van stock
  • Verification – calibration of new and refurbished fuel dispensers
  • Completion of site surveys
  • Confined space entry – maintenance of some equipment requires access and working in confined spaces

 

Requirements

 

  • Electronic qualification eg HND/OND Electronic engineering or similar
  • Mechanical competence
  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised as part of a regional team
  • Able to solve problems both methodically and intuitively
  • IT Literate
