Overall Purpose:

 

We require a Repairs Manager for Lift Maintenance & Repair to join our Lift division. Working in and around the North East Regional Office.

The successful applicant will undertake tasks including:

  • The management of repairs and submission of quotations
  • Quotations for, ordering parts and scheduling of all repairs from minor to major works whilst maintaining effective communication with the customer.
  • Carry out site inspections including scope of work, details of specifications, identification of parts required and programming of all works.
  • The ability to manage engineers on a day- to- day basis giving support with technical queries as required.

Ideal candidates will be self-motivated and have the ability to show a high standard of workmanship whilst working under minimum supervision.

Ideally you will have previous experience of:

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • A relevant Engineering and/or Electrical/ Mechanical qualification
  • Ability to prioritise and plan workload.
  • Experience in the lift industry.
  • Ability to work accurately and quickly in a fast moving consumer market.
  • Full valid UK driving licence

We are looking to recruit a Vehicle Mechanic / MOT Tester, ideally with HGV experience, and would be able to apply their knowledge and skills to at least 1 or 2 apprentices.

About the role

The ideal candidate would be competent in carrying out diagnosis while undertaking a wide range of servicing and repair work on customer vehicles (ranging from cars to HGVs). As a Technician you will ensure effective use of technical knowledge and skills enabling efficient, economic and safe servicing and repair of customer vehicles while building long lasting and effective working relationships with customers and colleagues.

All Vehicle Technicians are responsible for accurately completing repair and service records as well as any other appropriate activities and supporting company policy and best practice. You will analyse work orders carefully to understand a vehicle's condition, the accuracy of the diagnosis, and what work has been agreed to.

 

What we're looking for

  • The ability to work as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service
  • Full understanding of diagnostic work
  • MOT testing experience would be preferable but not essential
  • A minimum of NVQ level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair

Overall Purpose:

We are recruiting for a Project Engineer to both support and lead in a range of low carbon consultancy projects. Primarily the role will focus on the delivery of energy audits for SMEs across the North East LEP area, although there will be an opportunity to become involved in a range of other distributed energy projects across the UK.

Salary: £22,000 – £32,000 (depending on experience)

Working hours: 37 hours/week

Additional benefits: 25 days annual leave & 8 bank holidays, 10% pension (5% employer & 5% employee), life assurance, health insurance, company mobile phone & laptop.

Essential qualification and experience

  1. Degree level in a related discipline, or relevant experience
  2. 3+ years relevant experience
  3. Writing technical reports to required standards

  6. Domestic and non-domestic heating systems and energy efficiency measures

    • Identify opportunities to deploy logging equipment
    • Provide advice & guidance to SMEs
    • Facilitate the completion of necessary funding paperwork with support from the project coordinator
  2. Deliver energy audits on a consultancy basis for commercial and municipal buildings
  3. Carry out a range of technical and strategic low carbon consultancy projects.
  4. Undertake desktop-based surveys and carry out site visits
  5. Support in the management and delivery of projects, including subcontractors during field trials
  6. Engage with clients from both the private and public sector
  7. Deliver work independently and as part of a team
  8. Take responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of proposals and reports.
  9. Follow policies and procedures, in particular; complete enquiry records, proposals and reports to the required standard
