HGV Class 2 Driver Operative Bristol

Please Note: Although this role is for an HGV Class 2 Driver there will be an element of heavy lifting and hard work involved as this role is within the Waste Management Industry. Tthe connection of industrial hoses to Petrol and Oil Forecourts, Chemical Plants and Sewerage Sites is an every day part of this role so an ADR Licenece would be preferred. Not essential as training may be offered to the right person.

 

 

Overall Purpose:

As part of the role you will form part of a call out rota and will receive £180 for each week that you are on standby plus 1.5 x basic salary for all hours worked whilst on call out or 2 x basic salary for all night work (midnight – 6am).

The main duties of the role will include:

  • Collection of domestic Oils/Chemicals & Sewerage from domestic properties
  • Use on-site equipment as instructed with due regard to manual handling techniques for heavier objects.
  • Attending emergency call outs when required.
  • Completion of all driver related paperwork accurately and submitted on time.
  • Compliance with the Group’s Health and Safety policy and behaviours.
  • Deal with Customers in a manner that retains their loyalty to the Company and delivers an outstanding service.

Daily duties will involve some heavy lifting including raising of manhole covers, setting up suction hoses etc.

 

Person Specification:

  • A HGV class 2 licence
  • Previous tanker experience
  • Possession of a digi-card
  • Current CPC qualification

A flexible approach to the role will also be essential as you will form part of a call-out rota.

Overall Purpose:

 

We are currently recruiting for an NVQ Level 3 qualified Electronics Technician in the West Yorkshire area, to maximise robotic cutter and camera hire fleet utilisation and achieve customer repair revenue and satisfaction targets.

 

  • Maximise utilisation of hire fleet robotic cutters and cameras through rapid, systematic fault diagnosis and effective repairs maximising hire fleet availability and timely turnaround times for customer repairs
  • Input detailed notes of work required and the time needed to complete the job as well as the parts required to allow accurate costs to be quoted to the customer
  • Liaise with the customer service team as well as customers dealing with technical queries and equipment functionality.
  • Highlight to the customer areas around the equipment's proper usage, maintenance and clean down routines as well as storage and transportation
  • Become a valuable part of the team by assisting other technicians and coaching junior technicians and attending training courses when necessary.
  • Achieve repair revenue targets by allocating time in the most commercially effective ways.

Overall Purpose:

 

We are seeking a Heavy Plant/Diesel Fitter to work from our depot in the North East. Will involve working within a workshop however as per business requirements could also involve onsite work to be carried out throughout the region.

A majority of the work will involve maintenance, repair of a range of Construction Plant Equipment and HGVs.

 

About the Role:

 

The successful applicant will be responsible for the repair and maintaining various ranges of Heavy Plant equipment including: Excavators, Loading Shovels, Crushers and Screeners.

 

Key Duties Include:

 

  • Regularly inspecting Gear Boxes, Engines, Hydraulics and Electrical Systems
  • Identifying faults, dismantling parts, and repairing faulty parts
  • Reassembling parts and testing them to make sure they are working properly and safely
  • Arranging for machinery that cannot be fixed on site to be moved to the workshop and carrying out routine servicing of Plant and Equipment both on site and in the workshop.

 

Key Skills Required:

 

  • You must have the ability to work alone and without supervision
  • You must be able to make decisions and implement your own ideas and solutions.
  • Full clean driving licence
  • You would use various hand and power tools in your job, as well as specialist computer fault-finding equipment, electrical testing equipment and welding equipment.

 

Required Experience:

 

  • 5 Years minimum Plant/Diesel fitting experience
